  • 16.00 TOUR OF BEAUTIFUL WINERY “ROCCA DI CASTAGNOLI” WITH WINE TASTING OF 3 WINES. The earliest documentary evidence known concerning Castagnoli dates back to the X century. Significant restructuring works have been carried out in recent years, bringing back bygone magnificence to the palace and to the Rocca alike. The vaults devoted to the maturing of the wine. And that contain barrels and barriques, are superb with their stone columns, brick vaulting, aged-old wooden ceiling and fascinating recesses.

The main production is about the Chianti Classico Wines. “PoggioantinorA” proposes two different lines of products: THE TRADITIONAL LINE, includes all the wines made in the family old way with a percentage of white grapes. THE INNOVATION LINE , follow the new demands of the market, suggesting wine made only using red grapes. Here you can also have something very special: a guided tour to the Museum of the country culture relies to the world of the oil and the wine like the macina, the frantoio, and many ancient instruments and objects used during the works in the fields, the harvests, the hunt, etc.

In 1994 Mr. Jess Jackson, owner of Kendall – Jackson Vineyard Estate, acquired the Tenuta di Arceno estate lies in the hills of the Chianti Classico Region in Central Tuscany between Florence and Siena, in the town of San Gusmè (Siena). Tenuta di Arceno is a splendid estate of 2500 acres with 220 acres under vine, and many olive groves for olive oil production. By listening to the terroir of the different vineyards of the Tenuta di Arceno estate, Vigneron and Winemaster Pierre Seillan and his team identify the unique quality of the soil and vines in each vineyard block. This philosophy allows them to perceive and respect the true nature of the terroir, and produce distinct wines of unmistakable
quality that tell the story of this historic site.
